Everything about earthmoving equipment and the materials they move
is contained in the master Earthmover database, which is included with your subscription.
Every four months you will receive a database
update along with an Earthmover newsletter. For the latest in earthmoving information, you
can download the most recently posted database from the Download web page.
Earthmover let’s you also build your own,
private databases to study and explore machine and component concepts. You can
"publish" them to share among other users as well as submit them to Accelerator
for review and possible inclusion in the master database.
Organizations can register a private user group
whose members can share their published databases with the confidence that access is
restricted to their group.
Trust
Earning your trust in the master Earthmover
database is extremely important to us. From the very beginning, we designed into
Earthmover features that will help earn your trust, and they include:
• An open database. Every piece of earthmoving equipment and their
components are fully described in their underlying property sheet pages. You can view all
of the detail and depth we have taken to fully describe an earthmoving object.

Documented sources. You can right-click
on any data field to see the source document reference from which the data was taken.
Documenting the source of the data raises the integrity of the data.

Full explanation. Our context-sensitive
help provides immediate access to a full explanation of each data field and how it is used
by Earthmover. Technical terms are described in plain language.
•
Experience. Our years of engineering
experience reviewing and analyzing machine specifications, designs, and field performance
allow us to objectively check and filter information for validity and reasonableness.
•
Independence. As an independent information provider, we do not have a "story"
to tell other than present information clearly and correctly. When accurate information
proves elusive, then we will try and make a reasonable estimate and let you know what we
did.
